Bless my broken Wheelbarrow!

Oh, bless my broken wheelbarrow,
It’s broken, and it’s bent,
It never has done half a job;
Its life has been well spent.

It’s beaten up, it’s dented,
Its tyre’s really flat.
Its misshapen and lamented,
It’s a sorry looking chap.

It is no use to me –
It buckles, and it groans.
It cannot take the weight;
It whinges and it moans.

So, I’m gunna weigh it in,
Life moves on you see.
And I need another barrow,
As sturdy as can be.

So, bless my broken wheelbarrow,
It’s scrapped, and it is gone.
There’s nothing left, I am bereft,
Its day is lived and done.

So he’s gone and been recycled,
To be all that he can be,
And maybe someday soon –
He’ll be returned to me.
